Oakland-based, Winnipeg-born experimental recorder Fletcher Pratt continues his evocative Dub Sessions series, offering a dynamic new installment that emerges from a lighthearted streak in his more formal electronic influences. The result is longer and more varied than Vol. 3, released in 2016 as Pratt finished his Masters Degree in “Electronic Music and Recording Media” at Mills College, more relaxed and genuinely mutant at times. But both are still devoted and unique thematic studies, tightly wound but always organic.
